About Australian Performance Motorcycles

Hi, I’m Paul Drane. I am the owner and lead mechanic here at Australian Performance Motorcycles. I’ve spent over 25 years honing my skills in mechanical and engine reconditioning. Early in my career, I had the incredible opportunity to work with three of Australia’s top factory superbike teams — Yamaha, Kawasaki, and Ducati.

It was during this time that I developed a deep understanding of high-performance motorcycles. Since then, I’ve expanded my expertise by working in various areas of mechanics, which has only helped me grow as a technician. My passion for motorcycles and motorcycle racing remains as strong as ever, and I still race and attend events to stay connected with the industry.

At Australian Performance Motorcycles, I offer everything from basic bike maintenance and repairs to performance tuning, custom builds, and even specialised motorcycle transportation solutions.
